Pit Bull Registration made easy, Support unparalleled

PO Box 1036 Antioch, TN 37011

Welcome to the American Pit Bull Registry ( APBR ). If you are looking for a registry to represent you as a Pit Bull owner you have come to the right place. The APBR is the largest information provider on the Internet in regards to the Pit Bull dog breed and offers registration services unparalleled in the registration industry.

This site is designed to help you, the public, learn more about Pit Bulls and provide insight to understanding the heritage and importance of the breed. This site will also help you learn ways to help the American Pit Bull Terrier ( APBT ) breed overcome the negative stigma it holds, reduce the number of unnecessary euthanaisas of this breed in pounds and shelters, and help you understand how to gain more value and pride for the American Pit Bull Terrier ( APBT ) as a whole.

The navigation section (right) will help you find many valuable links to areas within this site such as the Pit Bull history, conformation, Pit Bull registration options, Pit-friendly adoption organizations, foster care, local rescues, Breed Specific Legislation ( BSL ) and American Pit Bull Terrier ( APBT ) clubs. Here you can also find valuable tips for responsible ownership, get updates on current laws that affect Pit Bulls and their ownership, and discover many other services Pit Bulls provide in our communities (such as drug discovery, rescue and therapy work).

We at the American Pit Bull Registry ( APBR ) have gone out of our way to bring information about Pit-friendly organizations to the world wide community. The APBR has also taken on the role of assisting in the development of rescues in order to protect and preserve this wonderful breed.

The sad fact is that most shelters, pounds, and other animal welfare organizations who take in pets will not even give the Pit Bull a chance. Because of this we feel it is imperative to educate the public on choosing the right shelters and rescues to take their Pit Bulls to when this is the only alternative they have. Because of the overcrowded nature of many of these facilities and policies which disallow Pit Bull adoptions at non-Pit friendly shelters and pounds we work with individuals in exhausting every possible alternative before they make such a decision is for their Pit Bull.

Need to find a new home for your Pit Bull? We can help find your beloved Pit Bull friend a happy and loving new home with our Pit Bull re-homing service; keeping them out of local shelter agencies where overcrowding and anti-Pit Bull policies force such organizations to often euthanize Pit Bulls that come into their care.

If your Pit Bull has recently passed away we also have a Pit Bull Memorial section where you can submit your Pit Bull's picture and a short story as a lasting tribute in remembrance to him/her.

Don't forget! Check out our huge Pit Bull picture gallery which contains tons of great Pit Bull pictures, including those cuddly and adorable Pit Bull puppies no person can resist. Also visit our game section where you can choose from a range of Pit Bull themed games and activities. (Extremely kid friendly and perfect for passing the time when you're not otherwise consumed with playing catch with Spike.)

We hope you enjoy this site and the services the American Pit Bull Registry ( APBR ) offers and find them to be of great value.
